There is a major outage occurring at facebook properties (including facebook, instragram, and a few other sites).  They are currently unreachable from the internet and have been since mid-morning.

The facebook outage was resolved around 4:45 pm.

We know there are 200+ something in the Sipsey Pines subdivision who are in our PHASE ONE fiber build who are anxious for an update. We're still putting all of the pieces of this together but here are some tid bits we want to provide for you now:
 

 On Wednesday October 6 we will start taking orders.

We will be doing installations in three phases as follows:

Tier [A} / Prepay a year / Tier [A} will be installed in the order you request service.

Tier [B] / Prepay six months / Tier [B} will be installed in the order tier B requests service, after all of Tier [A] is installed.

Tier [C] / Prepay three months / Tier [C] will be installed in the order tier C requests service, after all of Tier [B] and Tier [A] are installed.
 
Once all requests in Tiers A-C are completed we will conduct normal standard installations. All existing Cyber customers who want service will receive priority over new installations.
 

A link will be published to facebook and our website at 12 noon on Wednesday October 6 giving you the signup link.
 

You will need to determine if you want/need the following services:

Cyber Telephone
Cyber TV Service

* Pre-construction and construction will take place during October and November - most work should be complete by Thanksgiving.

* Installations will continue past that date, we hope to have everyone who wants service installed by December 15th.

Pricing is not 100% determined yet. Here are our projected tiers and service plans but these speeds and costs may change as we get closer to launch:

100 x 100 will be $65 / month
300 x 300 will be $95 / month
1 gig x 1 gig will be $125 / month

Telephone service $34 a month + phone tax

TV service - most all channels and local channels will be available. However, package prices are not determined yet.

Cyber Broadband welcomes the "Total Solution Guys" broadband network, otherwise known as NWA Wireless, to the Cyber Broadband family of companies.  As of March 1 2017 we are joining forces to provide better service across our combined coverage area.  Cyber is now in seven counties including Blount, Cullman, Franklin, Lawrence, Morgan, Walker, and Winston Counties.

Many parts of our network now qualify for 10 meg service and the unlimited service.  Your installer can tell you if you qualify or not.  We are working to make higher speed universal in the future.

 

Customers "in general" within the circle on this map MAY now qualify for higher speeds. We are trialing new gear and have had good results. Here are the new speeds and new rates available:

Currently we offer up to 3 meg for $65 / month. In general we try to keep that between 1.5 and 3 meg. All speeds remain best effort.

The tier most of you want, as we promised, there is a tier now available at $95 a month for up to 10 meg speed. This tier is unlimited data.

Finally, we have a tier at $125 a month that is the bronze gold of the "Prince of Broadband" speeds. It is unlimited all the bandwidth you can consume from the tower at the speeds your radio will handle. We have a test customer right now getting approximately 80 meg from this connection tier.

All plans remain best effort and you can change back at any time.

To change to a new plan and new gear you must pay a $100 upgrade fee. However, you will receive a $25 credit on your bill for the next four months.

Other sides of this tower will be upgraded next (so areas outside but adjacent the circle will have this offer soon) and we are rolling this out network wide slowly.
 

Starting....well....IMMEDIATELY....Cyber Broadband is now offering $10 towards any customer you refer to our service (you must be a subscriber obviously to get this credit). A credit will automatically appear on your next (March) bill for any previous referrals you have sent us.

Moving forward, make sure you mention the referral at signup, when the customer puts their contact info on our website, or when they call to place an order to receive this credit.
